A lot of hay is made in describing the effect of WWI reparations on Germany, and how it sets the stage for German aggression, the rise of the Nazis and the beginning of WWII, etc,...

AND? Those dudes didn't even *try* to pay the reparations. Intentionally tanked their economy. Nightmarish.

Literally, there's a drop of 300k+ jobs being added in November and December 2024 to almost 100k jobs in January 2025. At the end the May and June numbers have been revised down from approximately 150k jobs, down to less than 25k job for each respective month. July currently stands at 75k new jobs, but we'll fucking see if that holds.

Fun Fact about me: I have two favorite direct actions. One is ACTUP's "Stop the Church" action at St Patrick's Cathedral.

The other? The AIM occupation of Alcatraz. A bunch of the organizers helped stand up American Indian studies at SFSU, which is why I went their as a kid.
