As Kojima Productions (eventually) returns to tactical stealth espionage gameplay with Physint, I gave myself a brief break from everything else going on to offer some thoughts on what this title could be.

Roughly halfway through The Devils by Joe Abercrombie. Extremely enjoyable so far, hoping it really sticks the landing.

Realizing that as an adult, I read much slower when I read for fun.

Compartmentalizing the LA fires has been difficult. Growing up and living in SoCal, I exist now in a natural state of unbalance as I try and apply myself best to the problem. I can’t help but be sentimental as it all goes up in flames, like it never existed.

Reasons I believe film studios currently prefer live action remakes:

1) Cheaper to develop - Groundwork already exists, maybe a tweak or two to improve or differentiate (ultimate commercial or critical perception is a different discussion)

[2024 Media Diet]

To my surprise, been watching a lot of horror movies lately.

OG Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974), Ready or Not (2019), The Substance (2024), Azrael (2024), Pearl (2022), X (2022), Maxxine (2024), House (1977).

Enjoying it quite a bit, any other recommendations?

To Hell and Back by Charles Pellegrino

Not a fun read, but an important one nonetheless. A painstakingly well-researched history of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings.
