Many who reject science do so because it does not confirm their worldview, which may be a kind of social club. Accepting truth would get them booted from fellowship. MAGA, flat earthers, anti vaxx, many other conspiracies fall under this.

One thing it's reasonably good at: reading old handwritten cursive documents. A goldmine for gealogists, who previously would have had to painstakingly search for those manually.
It can write simple code in programming languages. Replace software engineers? They have some good laughs about that.
