I’ve come to deeply appreciate Bradbury’s focus in this book. As a vision of government censorship and oppression, it feels facile in comparison to Orwell. As a vision of how a distraction-obsessed society destroys critical thinking and leads to cultural suicide, it remains shockingly prescient.

In theory it makes sense to me, since the Like a Dragon-branded games are kind of “post-yakuza” games, about the dissolution of the Tojo clan and the aftermath. Sticking with the Yakuza name for the original 6 games feels in line with that. But from a marketing perspective that’s…a hard sell

Yeah absolutely. I’ve also seen both games get categorized as “precision platformer” or “twitch platformer.” I think I’ve also heard “splatformer” which tbh to the best of my memory is something somebody at Giant Bomb threw out during the Celeste Quick Look or something but it just stuck in my head
