There are good pitchers that give up a lot of Air Pull (coincidently, Cease and Ryan), and there are bad pitchers that don't give up much Air Pull. But generally the best pitcher limit it:

yeah, if bregman is gone, then you really need to explore everything with the infield. polanco is fine, but wouldn't be a top choice for me, even not having deeply looked into it. He would need to be paired with one of the studlier bats.

I do not

Pretty much totally incorrect.

“From 2022-24, while only 17.5% of batted balls were “pulled airballs,” that subset was responsible for 66% of all home runs. Pulled airballs in that time produced a .547 BA, 1.227 SLG making them an extremely valuable outcome.”

He’s solid. Comes with a 3/55 contract, plus what you’d need to trade for him. Not sure if it wouldn’t be better just to sign someone like Giolito instead. They’ll be reaching higher, though, I think.

he's very good, but this list shows that he would give up lots of fly balls towards the green monster

I think they are more likely to trade, but any of the top starters has to be considered.

Beyond saying that, I really have no idea... but the best breakdown I have seen has been here... It sounds interesting and good, but not "second ace" like. youtu.be/MAWQqe3YBFE...

It was actually the Pirates that completely fixed him in the middle of last year lol

There will be plenty of good to talk about with the rotation this winter, I'm sure. Won't take much for major improvement behind Crochet, I think they might get 2.

Nothing really jumps out. Though, in the bigger picture of the last 5 years, the thought that Zac Gallen might never get a huge deal seemed preposterous.

I don't think anyone knows... but I'd guess that this is a fairly normal looking offseason. Top guys will get theirs, lower middle class will look squeezed. Everyone will try to tie every move to the 2027 lockout, good or bad.

Years, far left is 26 years ago, far right is 2025.
