I think you are one of the few saying the Red Sox acted like a small market team last off-season. A legit criticism is they are burdened with big contracts for players they overvalued when they signed them- Story & Yoshida for example.

What system depth? Who beyond the core group of Durand, Raffaele, Abreu, Anthony, Mayer, Bergman & Narvaez is untouchable? Story? Yoshida? Toro? Wong? Maybe it isn't the Red Sox overvalue players, it's teams don't want the players or their contracts we have.
