Something like Twitch, people can passively consume (ads) - it might not be a huge income, but sometimes even a little is nice for the checking account and the ego if you find yourself stuck. It also helps to adopt a little bit of main character syndrome in the face of present circumstances.

which can open up alternative avenues. Keep applying for whatever you see as a "real job," of course, but don't ignore that you are already recognizable as someone who creates art and content that isn't slop. When people have money, they will remember that.

From the experience of graduating in the 2008 recession: keep creating in order to manage your sanity/the burnout. Opportunities will come but you won't be able to grab them if you aren't taking care of yourself. You've already established some presence online in the content space,

Universal experience right now even if you have prior work experience and aren't in the arts. The soul crushing doubles if you're looking for freelance work as well. :/

I'm hours into the Origins game, and there's not a single face in the rocks. There is no glimpse of distant horizons. Very little underbrush, moss, or ferns.

The footprints in the snow are gone, eliminating the implication of many coming and stopping, possibly turning back. The hint of warmer climes are gone. The cave... doesn't make a convincing shelter for the sleeping giant, who now rests on the snow. The rocks are jagged, not worn smooth by time and

Simon appears to be part of the world in the original. He can interact with the detailed setting in various ways. The world is more real because it isn't JUST a vehicle for the quest actions.

Origins completely guts the flavor text and exploration that made the first game fun. It's removed details of the setting that made the fantasy world unique and memorable.

The decrease in overt misogyny + the added magic mechanic are good updates, but it doesn't beat the net negatives.
