One of my fave movies is Something’s Gotta Give and it’s because of the wonderful actress, Diane Keaton.

May you RIP 🙏🏽

If MAGA only knew we gave up Cracker Barrel along time ago

Our tires were slashed at a CB in Valdosta almost 23 years ago while we were traveling to Florida

Believe me, seeing nostalgia from Jim Crow (and racist stares from customers) ain’t worth eating Uncle Herschel’s fried catfish

Since folks are talking welfare queens and not knowing who Regan and his ilk said of black women when the real QUEEN was a white woman. Not all black ppl get welfare, Medicaid, etc.

These folks are hurting POOR people and rural communities which includes all races.

The Truth Behind The Lies Of The Original 'Welfare Queen'
The story of the woman famously referred to as a "welfare queen" in Ronald Reagan's 1976 campaign is far more bizarre and unsettling than the stereotype she became the emblem for, as a stellar long re...

I just watched the exchange with Zelensky in the Oval Office.

I am embarrassed as an American that the two loud speakers were so rude and obnoxious.

Where is the diplomacy?

They’ve brought WWE to the oval and think bullying someone into submission is democracy 🤦🏽‍♀️

With 82% of workers at risk of burnout, companies can no longer afford to ignore the deeper social determinants that shape employee well-being.

In a recent feature, I make it clear: A healthy human economy isn’t a utopian dream—it’s a business imperative.

I had a great time with students from NYU Stern discussing entrepreneurship and venture capital.

Hearing from the students gives me hope the future is bright.

I want to pour all I have learned into the next gen so there journey is bit easier.

I decided to stop watching Joe and Mika after their infamous visit to south Florida.

After firing Joy and the others, I’m giving up the MSNBC network altogether.

You don’t ppl if color on the show so they must want ppl of color to watch watered down news.

I refuse and I resist ✊🏽

Donna Brazile just closed This Week on ABC with such fire by quoting James Brown

“ I don’t want y’all to give me nothing, just open the door and I’ll get it myself”

She then set the fire: “ my grandfather got a college scholarship and decided to serve in Korea, you’re gonna call him a DEI” 🔥

Last week we had the privilege of hosting over 30 investors from across Atlanta for an evening of collaboration, and support for the city’s thriving ecosystem⭐️

The highlight of the evening was honoring the legendary Sig Mosley on the 25th anniversary of the Southeast’s largest tech exit, $5.7B 🎉

The evolution of my partnership with Sig Mosley.

This Thursday will be the 25th anniversary of the (still) largest exit in the southeast, with Sig leading the $5.7 acquisition of Tradex by Aruba’s

I’ve had the privilege to learn under Sig’s tutelage for the last six years.

Great job, Sig 🎉

Who’s running the country at the moment?

It’s embarrassing that the United States of America has two “leaders” at the same time

Make it make sense 🤦🏽‍♀️

It’s unfortunate that folks are using the death of a CEO as fodder.

This man has a family, a family who is probably seeing the jokes and not laughing.

No jokes are appropriate.

As the leader of my company, I offer empathy to the family and his loved ones.

Doing business shouldn’t lead to death.

Last night, I attended an #ArtBasel last night in South Beach. I decided to chat it up with the woman near me.

The best chess move I could make. Turns out she manages $1B in assets for two wealthy clients who are looking to invest in VC.

We the chatted with the lovely Yola from Haiti.

This is one of the areas we’re investing: food insecurity. Affects Black and low income rural communities the most. The ROI in the SDoH is life expectancy and growth in our GDP. Too big to ignore the impact and returns while doing is what’s best for communities.
1. The conventional explanation for food deserts—that these places are too poor or too rural to generate enough spending on groceries, or too Black to overcome racist corporate redlining — fail to grapple with a key fact: food deserts didn’t used to exist. My new piece in The Atlantic.
The Mystery of Food Deserts
They didn’t materialize around the country for no reason. Something happened.
