I wish "alarms" were their own volume category on my phone. I mostly want my phone on the most silent of silent settings, but alarms? There I want the Horn of Judgement, signaling the End.

Also No Kings in Ypsilanti was a great time. Good energy, good people, lots of morally-clear language and values on display. More of this, please.

Pet Semetary was quite scary, alarming, and touching at various points. I liked it a lot, but I'm not going to be in a hurry to read it again.

Time for a non-fiction break, and then The Talisman and Cycle of the Werewolf in no in particular order.

Finished Leif Enger's "I Cheerfully Refuse" yesterday. A sad and moving story told in beautiful prose. Well worth your time! I'm looking forward to finding a bookstore and getting the rest of his stuff.

Also applies to Theoden Thingol's son.
No Kings clearly does not include Aragorn, son of Arathorn, bearer of Andúril (forged from the remains of Narsil), as he is the direct lineal heir of Isildur and thus the rightful ruler of Gondor and Arnor, and called King Elessar, which means “Elf-Stone” in Quenya, the tongue of the Elves.

I'm bad at BlueSky because I don't fully understand the etiquette of liking and re-skeeting things. What of the person who made the post thinks it is weird I did that? This is not a real thing that happens. But. What if?!

Gonna try and have a better writing habit over the next four years.

Autocorrect wanted that to be "worrying habit," and I think I'm gonna try and have a better one of those too.

I am generally supportive of initiatives like this; they seem to me like the best version of federalism. Hopefully it turns out to be a positive and fruitful effort.

Gov. JB Pritzker cited environmental protections and the threat of mass deportations as the types of issues the coalition will be exploring.

I keep seeing people mention starter packs here and remembering the starter pack memes from a few years ago. Like "guy from Michigan starter pack" and it had a bunch of stereotypical Michigan stuff.

Some were mean, bit there was some good humor in the format too.
