I remember when they confirmed Tawna would be in Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time the usual right-wing chughead types complained about her design and someone made an excellent observation.

To paraphrase: "So consumed and blinded by hate they failed to notice the stonking great ass she now had."

Velera scoffs with a snarl but you see an excited glint in those eyes of charred orange. "Ya're greedy pig thinkin' about nothin' more than what ya gonna eat next. Look at ya!" She pokes at your blubbery belly with a sharp tipped fingernail. "What happened to them muscles ya were so proud of? GONE!"

There's a lot of elements in Doctor Who that are ripe for exploring beyond what's usually done. Omega is one of those characters you could reintroduce into the show as a regular and give them a redemption arc (I am still bitter about how the character was treated in The Reality War).
After reading Steven Moffat's first bit of published Doctor Who fiction, Continuity Errors (Decalog 3), my take is he's definitely written fanfiction involving elements of bimbofication and reality change before that because, goddamn, does the short story vibe it right down to its core.

As much as Dingodile belched and protested he weren't able to take another bite, his fat tail betrayed him to Tawna with its desperate wagging when he saw the feeding tube she held, dripping a thick, creamy slop from its end.

"Good thing, then," said Tawna, "you won't need to take another bite."

Yuri tried and failed to stifle a rancid, foghorn fart. Kei bellowed a musky, moist belch.

As much as the two had hated the nickname Dirty Pair, Kei and Yuri loathed the new nickname they were now publicly known by after one very unusual mission had left its mark on them.

The Slobby Pair.

Bending and breaking canon is probably one of the best things any long-running sci-fi/fantasy series can do. As long as there's a continuity of the characters and themes and it shouldn't be be an issue to take a hammer to the canon surrounding those elements time to time.

Samus Aran's muscles bulged and twitched painfully as they grew in size with every drop of energy Gandrayda poured into her with sadistic glee.

Her Power Suit's warning system flashed red on her visor with "POWER SUIT INTEGRITY COMPROMISED"

Seconds later Samus felt and heard part of it give.

The main problem with trying to create a sequel to Tron (Tron Legacy's a decent film and it's weird to say it's not as good as Tron when Tron was just decent itself) is failing to understand it is a fantasy film, not a sci-fi film.

Tron is also part of the isekai sub-genre of fiction.

"Let'sh GESHT 'EM!"

The Extreme Gear hummed gracefully at first but then, only a few seconds later, it began to sound rough and unsteady like a hacking cough.

Wave ignored the warning signs her overindulgence of late was the culprit.

"WELLSH!" She slobbered at Jet and Storm. "LET'SH DO THISH!"

The 90s is super interesting when you look at how products like Sonic and Transformers were marketed (tie-in media). Until then it was hodgepodge approach where every market could mostly do its own thing as long as it promoted the product, then things shifted to harmonising everything.

PROMOTION!

I think the 1980s represented a shift in how long-running televisions shows (Doctor Who, Star Trek) were written. It's the point where a lot of people who were kids when they first aired in the 60s began to write for these shows from the 80s onwards.

Oh, yeah, and this!

This is the face of someone who will fatten you up to the point you're fit to burst and, as you're wheezing and burping and groaning and trying to not to think about how painfully full you feel, will ask without a hint of concern, would you like seconds.

There is only one answer she will accept.

As a Gorn, Kalik understood exploration entailed risk.

Sometimes those risks were of the strangest kind. A spore, blue in colour and tasting sweet (so sweet), had gotten into the ship's life support system and caused members of his crew, himself included, to swell with a juice-like substance.
