Four years ago today I published the book that I had no idea would change my life. Now, four bestsellers, some viral videos, and a whole lot of work later, I'm living my dream of being a full time writer. All because I took some good advice and published a book I though no one would ever read.

My mom knows what I write but is of that era where she just Doesn't Get It. I showed her Odyssey's cover, and she was thrilled. She pointed to Olbric and said, "What a beautiful woman," and I love that she has no idea just how much she affirmed Olbric's gender in that moment.
