Having just left my psych appointment, this poster was, on closer inspection, quite disappointing.

Despite her father having full on pediophobia, the child persuaded him to buy a vintage doll as a gift and store it until my birthday.
At bedtime, she innocently proclaimed “I hope (doll) feels safe, so she doesn’t murder us in our sleep”.
The child is a comedian.

This one is a strong front runner.
1920s little girl doll, made from pressed felt. She has short (theoretically) blonde curls, under a thin cotton bonnet, with a smock dress that may once have been cream. The seams down her chubby arms and legs are visible. She has bright blue eyes, slightly narrowed and looking off to the right, which combined with a rather mischievous smile, gives her a sinister air. The entire doll looks a great deal like she has been buried in the woods for about a decade, and is stained a mottled brown.

I strongly suspect that #GenerativeAI primarily attracts the sort of person who is ALSO confidently wrong about most things. It’s essentially a #Mansplaining machine.

I know there are no shortage of horrible kids toys out there, but this one was sneakily confiscated from my child’s birthday haul, and I don’t even WANT to understand the mind that came up with “burlesque baby” as a toy concept for young girls. 🤢
A “LOL Dolls” toy. A plastic figure around 10cm high, of a toddler aged girl with enormous eyes, sucking on a pink dummy (pacifier). The child is wearing frilly pink French knickers, a pink crop top and a showgirl-style feathered hairband.

My child is in the process of turning me into a spooky tree, by sellotaping pictures of ghosts to my boobs. Is this normal?
