Ooo man, Dark Forest starts (and middles?) slow but it’s so dang good. The climax(es) are some of the most satisfying reading experiences I’ve had. Persevere! Death’s End is great too.

Great. Whether it's "smart" sometimes isn't the question. It's an entertainment business, they all have limited performance eras, and he wants to show us what he can do. My fantasy team welcomes him back too 😉
