I'm really...really...really sorry.

For anyone I've not met over on fash twitter, if you go back and watch the youtube highlights of our 5-3 win over Chelsea the day we lifted the trophy, that loud bang you hear at the end is me setting off a massive firework in Stanley Park before getting a bollocking off sniffer dog plod.
I truly hope Moyes engineers some sort of Secret Santa arrangement between Gueye and Keane to smooth things over.

Seems somehow more embarassing when you end up winning the game.

Bowyer and Dyer at least waited until Newcastle were crap.

This is especially fun when you consider few things annoy the Ev as much as us being made up that they've won.
November 24, 2025 at 10:05 PM
That might be a fatal blow to Amorim when you consider Mbeumo and Diallo are imminently off to AFCON.

Losing at home to ten men and a team with no strikers. Shite.

Fun fact - We've taken more points from our last three games than Utd.

Still contend Dewsbury Hall sounds like where Arsenal have their Christmas Do.

I'm leaning towards the Ev here if I'm honest.

The Mancs have been far too pleased with themselves in recent weeks. Ten years of protracted silence has led me to forget how annoying they are when they're happy.

What gets me is that this is one of the Ev's more tolerable seasons.

Where was this wanton self-destruction when Lampard was running them into the turf?
November 24, 2025 at 8:19 PM
I don't want to slag off Mo but this might be the first season in recent memory where AFCON is a blessing rather than a massive headache.

From a purely selfish POV I do now get to fondly look back on the amount of shit I got after the derby when I posted that something needed to change before the luck runs out.

I'm only ever right when I assume the worst.

Twitter accounts are based in Russia. BlueSky accounts are based in homes with, frankly, too many books, plants, obsolete cables, and pieces of rustic pottery, that could do with a bit of a tidying up, to be honest.

There's so many issues at the club atm but Slot is making himself such an easy target by stubbornly sticking with players who aren't delivering and not making the full use of his squad to address it.
November 24, 2025 at 10:10 AM
I'd usually agree but if anyone can point to solutions to our numerous problems and where it's apparent they will come from, I'll happily get on board.

Slot doesn't get a free pass for sticking with what either doesn't work or is down right indicipherable just because 'that's not how we do things'.
If you are talking about the manager being sacked you're part of the problem.

Regardless of it's relevance, I'm still really not comfortable with invoking Jota's death into our form.

We’re too slow - at everything and to everything - and as predictable as Cody cutting inside to try to curl one into the top corner.

In the Premier League, we’ve been utterly found out, so some fundamental change needs to occur… and swiftly.

My question to reds reading this is 'what's the game plan?'.

Today and in general.
November 22, 2025 at 5:34 PM
More resigned than annoyed tbh. Just waiting for the inevitable change, whatever form it takes.
November 22, 2025 at 5:25 PM
Entire block's row in front of me left after their third.
November 22, 2025 at 4:58 PM
Our two best players have been Szoboszlai and Grav this season.

Both are playing out of position in a formation that no one can translate.

And people are still defending Slot's 'plan'.
November 22, 2025 at 4:55 PM
If you can defend Slot on this with a straight face you're a better man than I.
November 22, 2025 at 4:40 PM
I really don't want to go in on Slot but I'm really starting to think he doesn't know what to do with the players he has here.

There's only so long we can be this vulnerable before it comes back to him.

Hope second half proves me wrong.

Reds in the ground are fast running out of patience so I imagine red twitter is like the poisoning scene in Battle Royale.

I feel for Wirtz because our lack of pace and penetration down the flanks has put so much emphasis and pressure on him but it'll be interesting to see what a starting 11 that is almost entirely made of title winners does.
November 22, 2025 at 2:11 PM
Chelsea are way too tight in midfield for Burnley to pass through.
