Statistically, black dogs are the first to be given up, and the last to be adopted. Humans are, collectively, awful.

It's been awhile now, but I've had surgery and been too exhausted to cope with recounting this.
Two Saturdays ago, at 9:30pm, our Finn slipped while walking through the kitchen and fell. We both ran to him as he screamed in pain and struggled to get him onto one of his beds.
