In his book "Spirit and Resistance," he Tinker writes: "I am ... building on ... recaptur[ing] something of the premodern, pre-1492 world as a vision of a postmodern existence."He argues "...it is critical that we envision other possibilities for social/political configurations." May we lean in. 2/2

Same. As a Jewish person who partially belongs to the land in the Levant, along with my Palestinian cousins, I think a lot about what caused me to be here in the United States. Have you read anything by George Tinker (Osage theologian), by chance? Your thoughts made me think of his work. 1/2

Tell me more about that, if you are willing. I purposefully didn't define land in any specific way, so I am of course curious where your thought journey took you.

These stories fill me with wonder and spark awe more often than not. There is power in both telling and hearing a story, one that changes both teller and listener. That we can be so affected by stories is incredible to me, and brings with it a holiness I'm only beginning to understand. 3/3

I'm also grateful for the opportunity to be able to bring guided forest therapy behind the walls of our local House of Correction. A recent session ended with one of the group saying "this practice helps me make sense of my place on Earth outside these walls." Wow. 2/3
