This just in: walking and wheeling are not cycling and are not secondary to cycling, and should not be collapsed in with cycling in traffic counts, not least because alternative suitable routes for the modes are *completely different*.
It has become one of the most used off road cycle paths in Edinburgh, with about 600,000 trips made by foot, bike and wheelchair along the route every year.
