Little Traverse Bay Band archivist Eric Hemenway and his collaborators on the Inclusive History Project @uofmichigan.bsky.social visited our classroom @umseas.bsky.social today. They inspired us to explore a wide range of records, artifacts and narratives from many voices about our school’s past

Got to talk about cars and colonialism yesterday rethinking the history of Charles Bedaux, his relationship to Citroen, expeditionary exploits, marketized efficiency, and his suicide, confronting resistance by organized labor and clear villainy of his nazi cronies. Then walked ypsi car carcasses!
