I’m pretty sure Australia locked down before the UK did. We watched you, and I was one of many Aussie doctors who signed a petition asking our government to lock down NOW. I’m so glad we did because we were saved so much death.

10/ Someone recently emailed asking why we haven't heard about bird flu lately. The virus has been fairly quiet this summer. Seasonal slowdowns, bird migration, and herds no longer being susceptible may explain the lull. Only 3 human H5N1 cases have been reported in the U.S. this year vs 67 in 2024.
