It doesn't work for every one. If you like it after a week or so, renew your tourist visa for a longer stay if possible. Good advice I got was to not sell your US house and car until after living here for six months. Check out Boaco.

My town, not so lucky, dead on both sides, but few of those, but finally deciding that a civil war was a hideous idea. When Ortega won, the cheering by the FSLN was restrained.

My helper is a good cook. When he worked at another friend's hotel, her nephew demanded that she hire a woman since cooking and serving food wasn't a man's job. I've licensed one photo he styled for me. I spill food and I suspect he doesn't, but he's not a pure straight male.

I'm in Nicaragua. Birds can be a bit different here. Better to have good camera and a suitable bird book.

If you're living a good life in Germany, good for you. I have friends (German with a Nicaraguan wife and family) who are also there. Many of my neighbors are rehabbing their houses and buying cars.

My helper and his daughter on Friday. His mother-in-law, her grandmother was dying, so he brought his daughter with him. Got the call about the death Saturday morning.

Cat energy is very different from dog energy. Your cat will sleep under the covers on top of you and beside or on your keyboard or UPS, anything warm. Daily Coyote was a web blog about Charlie, the Coyote who passed a few years ago after a long life with his photographer/writer owner.

Also, most writers don't just read fiction. They read far more widely than most people. And this isn't all my books.
