All this administration does is put every single nonprofit and institution into a trolley problem of either sacrificing trans people or hurting everyone else by eliminating federal funding.

It won't end with us. They'll do this with every minority until it's only white men who are left.

Trump is bad enough. But Elon Musk is not the f*cking President, no one elected him—and people aren’t having it!

Wow. So not only were several bird flu studies left out of today’s CDC Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, some data on bird flu briefly appeared in the online report and then was quickly removed.

At what point do we call this a constitutional crisis?!

Russell Vought is Trump’s path to authoritarianism.

If Musk ended up fined for HIPPA regulations that his people are purposefully violating the health privacy of say 260 million adults, and can be up to 250k per violation, I think we could do a little bit about his obscene wealth and political interference.

Plus, jail time.

Ruth Bader Ginsberg had to be a DEI hire. She graduated top of her law school class and could not get anyone to hire her. She was highly qualified. DEI is needed because of the Patriarchy, & white male privilege & the belief that only they are smart & don't want women hired to prove them wrong.

Pete Hegseth's tattoos tell a story of his beliefs. The Jerusalem Cross is a symbol that dates back to the Crusades and been linked to Christian nationalism and far-right groups in the 21st century. His tattoos signify that America should be an explicitly Christian nation.

He's a white supremacist.

Yep. This sums it up.
Just in case you've been paying less than rapt attention to the ragged collection of misfits and mooks that the odious orange oinker is trying to bring in to government, kindly permit me to point out that there is an actual name for this:

Bravo, Harry.
OK sports fans, so this is my last bulletin for my position at @losangelestimes.bsky.social. I resigned yesterday in protest of the paper's and owner's cozying up to Trump. Here's my explanation on my substack, where I hope you will follow me going forward.

I am shocked that the true threat to free speech is a conservative government and not the oberlin sophomores this magazine has spent the last decade calling authoritarian threats akin to mao.

Saying “I promise not to drink on the job” because you have a record of drinking on the job, should be disqualifying as fuck for ANY job, let alone the Secretary of Defense.

Why didn’t he also say, “I promise not to sexually assault any women on the job.”

Is sexual assault not as disqualifying?

The reason the coup attempt in South Korea failed as quickly as it did is because South Koreans immediately rushed to the streets to say “we won’t let you do that” and force the military to decide whether they’d shoot their fellow citizens or not.

Important for us remember over the next 4 years.
