It’s so horrific, Helen. We have almost 700 harmed families in our group now. Did you watch this evening’s coverage? 😢

Thank you, I was one of the individuals recorded. It means a lot to read your comments. Do have a read of the @newstatesman1913.bsky.social coverage of the covert recording too.

This is just the beginning.

We will keep fighting until maternity care in Oxfordshire is safe, equitable, and respectful- and until every family receives the truth, justice, and accountability they deserve. ❤️

We will fully engage with Baroness Amos and her team but we will also hold this process to account.

Families deserve transparency, meaningful involvement, and action- not a report that gathers dust.

While we welcome this review, we must be clear: A rapid review alone cannot ensure accountability.

Oxford needs a public inquiry into:
⚖️ Breaches of human rights
📜 Systemic failure to follow NICE guidelines & Montgomery
🏥 A culture that silences harmed families

OUH’s inclusion confirms what families have been saying for years:

📢 This isn’t “historic harm” or isolated cases – it’s systemic failure.

Babies have died preventable deaths. Mothers have been catastrophically injured. Families are still coming forward every single day.

This is a huge moment of validation for our 622 harmed families.

We’ve been calling out systemic failings in OUH maternity, including:
❌ Denial of pain relief
❌ Denial of maternal request caesareans
❌ Breaches of informed consent
❌ Missed risks
❌ Reluctance to intervene

In Psychology we pay such close attention to ethical practices & rigour in research- why is this different for @ouhospitals.bsky.social @oxfordlawfac.bsky.social @oxprimarycare.bsky.social?

Using patient data without due consent processes 🤔
