Thank you for all your support today. Also great support and conversations doorknocking in Wilton this afternoon, with this fantastic crew. Talking with people and listening to each other will help us protect us from division and hate ❤️

In other news, up at dawn for the tōhi tāngaengae for our beautiful brought back to life central library Te Matapihi ki te Ao Nui. You are going to love it! In front of the amazing Darcy Nicholas rawa, with some of my fave colleagues Laurie Foon, John Apanowicz and @geordierogers.co.nz

Liz Stokes is basically my favourite person in the culture right now and a new Beths album is reason for celebration for an overwhelmed Councillor/ Candidate lady

Good numbers of strong, experienced, progressive councillors will be key to both the direction and effectiveness of the next council, Pōneke.

New Don McGlashan live album is a gem. Also pictured, flowers that @geordierogers.co.nz bought me to cheer me up after an impossibly hard work week, because he is the best colleague and friend. Vote Don, vote Geordie ❤️

Hi, hi, hi, hi.

Big thank you to the team out putting my signs up this morning and to all the lovely people allowing my giant face to be affixed to your homes.

Look for my giant head in your neighborhood. I, however, will be averting my eyes and feeling the cringe.

Best door knocking weather in Karori and the man who ran down the street to ask if I was the housing lady, and to thank me for the cycleways and for standing again - you made my day sir!

I don’t know who needs to hear this but this whole renters don’t pay rates “at all” thing is just silly. We make this weekly payment called “rent” to our landlords, who then pay rates on the homes we live in. These people ⬇️ and about half the city.

This amazing crew hit the doors in Wadestown today. Great vibes from voters on a sunny Saturday morning.

THAT’S NOT HOW RATES WORK. If I was running a zero rates party, I would learn about how rates work, eh? Changes to LVR doesn’t actually bring in more revenue guys so cash grab it ain’t.

Honestly What happens when we do try and cut costs “not like that”

Such a fantastic crew out doorknocking this afternoon in Northland. Great conversations on the doors and also between the volunteers over a cuppa and a scone afterwards. Very grateful for everyone giving time to our campaign 💚

Kind of shocked, tbh, that councillors are still talking about voting against plans. We have a Crown observer and if a majority didn’t vote yes we would likely get Commissioners. It’s a massive dereliction of duty, to opt out of our most basic governance function. Not serious.

Great crew for our first doorknock of this election campaign, and good conversations with the lovely people of Ngaio

We have a new to us couch and I am giving it a test run having a cosy Sunday afternoon drinking tea, reading and listening to records. Thanks again to everyone who was so kind when I was Debbie Downer last night.
