Oh, I completely agree! And, as others are saying, it always felt a little much to be drumming up panic within the LGBTQ+ community about this specific attempt to overturn marriage equality. (I don’t think this is what you’re doing at all, just thinking about the broader coverage of Kim Davis)

Right! Marriage equality is absolutely under threat, but in the more general and diffuse way that all rights for minorities are currently under threat. But this specific attempt to undo marriage equality was never likely to succeed.

To me, this feels like the GOP saying “marriage equality is not the top of our list,” not “don’t worry, marriage equality is totally safe and protected”
