Also, they always start the text with your name, I've noticed. So even if I can only seen the first few words on my phone's lock screen I *know* anything that starts "Hey Rebecca," will almost certainly follow up with "unfortunately I'm not going to make it".

When I was sitting with a 3.5-year-old old at a kid's birthday, she looks up at me & says: "Bye bye."
Me: "Oh, are you going?"
Her:"No, you are."
That was several years ago and the burn mark still hasn't gone.

(OK I know what the complaint really is, but what are we meant to pretend it is?)

So wait, this woman didn't feel comfortable using the same loos as a trans woman, so she used alternative facilities that were simply available to her without having to mention it to her employer... Sorry, what's the complaint against the employer here exactly?

Where can I find this list? My TBR shelf has some space on it at the moment.

What an odd piece. You're obvs meant to think it's all v.unfair but it doesn't outright say that (even in Linehan's words), it lists negatives but doesn't expand & initially gives the impression of an interview - but with no original quotes. Then ends on a quote that makes him seem kinda unhinged?

Counterpoint: No you don't. They are all perfect and there's not a lot you can do about that

Sticks and stones may break your bones, but the blanket assertion that "words will never hurt you" rather overlooks the fact that the guy saying, "Break their bones with sticks and stones," was probably a major contributing factor to the current state of your bones...

So fluffy 😍
Had much the same problem while attempting to hang laundry - this is the bag the spare coathangers live in...

There is a version of that film that is a cool, low budget idea which nods to the pandemic and the sense of powerlessness and the ending of the original story in a really clever way.

That's absolutely not the film they made though.

Love writing but the high of being finished with a piece (particularly a big one that has been taking up a large chunk of your brain space as you tick down to the deadline) and filing it, is absolutely unparalleled
