Good thread on the alleged Carney plagiarism story. Agree it is both weak tea and a cautionary tale for grad students.
I just read the National Post's 'scoop' Mark Carney's "plagiarism". Several thoughts: 1) This is pretty weak tea. Were these similarly-worded sentences caught at Carney's thesis defence, they are the sort of thing that would have resulted in a note to have them fixed, not academic discipline. 1/n
