I recently watched La Rafle with Jean Reno. It’s about the round up of Jews in Paris in July 1942. In one scene the French officials were complaining about the numbers of Jews to be deported to the camps. reminds me of that.

My father was the photographer for Henry Miller’s,. The Amazing and Invariable Beauford DeLaney. Beauford drew a portrait of him in pastels. I have the piece, but it’s so smudged.
