The spark has been a little dim, so I spent time cleaning and organizing my desk so I can include sewing supplies as I learn to use a sewing machine. I can feel it coming back, but sometimes, the emotions overpower that creative zen. Self care and not forcing it is good for art health!

I hate the degradation of spell check. Tried earlier to post about doing a full lunge for the first time in years as I've worked to regain my mobility and it got auto corrected on my phone to lunch! And my dyslexic arse didn't notice. UGH!

I kept dreaming about trying my hand at realistic drawings of cats, and who pops up first on my feed than Uni! Limited myself to one hour on them in CSP, and this feels like a good warmup. Uni, I'm sorry I can't do you justice! I hope I can capture your cuteness better with more practice!

Woke up in pain having slept horribly. SO told me it rained last night. It was supposed to rain tomorrow. This is what I get for not checking the signs. Took some pain meds, drinking my brunch coffee, and hoping I will be functional in an hour. I got things I want to do!

A part of accepting deteriorating eye sight that hits like a punch in the gut has to be having to change the courser size and color. With one good eye, I realized I couldn't track my courser very well when it was white on white, like on a WIP canvas. So... adjustments are made.

If FFXIV pulls another realm reborn and takes away my access to Shadowbringers story replay, I will be done. Not just because not having access to a part of the game I love, but because they pretty much made something I paid for moot. I'm tired of having games taken away...!

Recovering my mental health revealed a lot of things. I won't be getting tested until the regime ends, but several friends who stuck by me through my recovery and weren't driven away by my mood swings and episodes have pointed out I express a lot of autism traits. Faintly knowing is 1/4 the battle.

I'm debating on using Cara or Tumblr for a blog. I've been doing an experiment where I try to find creativity every day, even if it doesn't end with me drawing, but still unsure where to put my ramblings. Any suggestions?

Well, I just got confirmation. As someone with mild dyslexia, I rely on spell check. More than once I've used the wrong word or typed gibberish. I've noticed that spell check is getting way worse. It's AI integration at its finest. Can I opt out, please? Writing has just gotten harder for me. :(

Finished an old piece from my WIPs. The initial sketch was a mess! To fix it, I made the canvas bigger, giving the character space to exist beyond a face. While able to stand alone as a #fantasyart piece, this is based on my #FFXIV character if she gave into the dragon blood in her veins.

This. This is what makes art pop! Take a hot character, pose her perfectly, and stick that moment of imperfection - in this case, her tights caught on her shoe - and instant interest in the picture dynamics!

I am learning more on YouTube about how to market and manage goals both artistic and financial than I ever did in the years of college.
And that's fucking sad.

One big mistaken hole I jumped into feet first was the thought that I had to create as fast as possible.
That only counts in commercial work. Turn around equals money for companies, but not always for artists. I am really enjoying taking my time with the details! #WIP

Oldie goldie from 2018! I entered "Kirin" into the Huion contest. Of course I didn't win, but I still had a ton of fun drawing this and learned a lot from it! I think that is one thing I love most about artwork - when I learn something and have fun during the process of learning.
