Former Trump supporter

I’m a Truman Liberal.
I believe in strong leadership, tough decisions, and doing what's right — not what's easy. Like Harry Truman, I support a government that works for everyday Americans: the workers, the veterans, the underdogs.
Dick Durbin and the senator from NH will be retiring in 2026. Great that'll give us the opportunity to put in two new Senators.

It was a crazy time back then.

I've been up, down, left and right on Bluesky. Not ONE person on here utters the name "Sydney Sweeney. The only thing here that was discussed was the Tuesday election victory and the Government shutdown.

That’s true, Johnson’s a factor. Still, Jeffries didn’t fracture his caucus or fold like Schumer did. I’ll take consistency over chaos any day — especially when the other side’s in full meltdown

1. It puts transparency and accountability front-and-center — themes most Americans (across parties) support.

2. It’s a way for Democrats to shift headlines away from Schumer’s capitulation and reclaim moral authority on government openness and justice.

Calling for a House vote to release all unsealed Epstein-related documents would serve two purposes:

Jeffries has been steady so far. Not ruthless, but disciplined. He’s shown he can hold the caucus together under pressure — time will tell if he can turn that into real power.

Say what you want about Hakeem Jeffries, but he held the line. While Schumer caved on the omnibus bill and the shutdown, Jeffries kept House Democrats united.

This is why if the Dems win the midterm, the Dem voters need to protest in front of Schumer and Jeffries house and demand they step or set up a new election for leadership. We want accountability & I fear those won't deliver.

For anyone here who lives in Massachusetts, what is it like?
November 8, 2025 at 10:09 PM
The White House Trump propagandists really think they can fool the people on Bluesky like on X.

So a couple of Liberal Politicians eulogize Dick Cheney, ok then why do you make it sound like millions of Liberal voters were sad for him?
November 8, 2025 at 10:03 PM
So you are saying America has always been the bad guys since the American Revolution?
Who knew King George and the Confederates were the heroes after all 🙄

Back when I was a Trump supporter, whenever someone said this to me, I would say something like "so what if he lies, I lie too when it's necessary".

Not really. Capitalism is an economic system built on private ownership and profit-driven markets — private enterprise is its core feature. FDR didn’t challenge that foundation; he just added regulations and social programs to keep it from self-destructing.

And served as President for 12 years.

FDR wasn't a Democratic Socialist in the same vein as Bernie Sanders. He was a Liberal Progressive who created the New Deal to stabilize capitalism, not destroy it.

A lot of Conservative don't support programs like Social Security. To this day, they hope Trump will kill it once and for all
