The problem isn’t that these programs are trying to be inclusive and equitable. The problem is that race or sex based discrimination is illegal and just plain wrong. Academic STEM has been infected with a dangerous ideology. The intention is not the problem, it’s the methods and outcome that is.

Do you really not see the irony of your statement? You are criticizing a meritocracy-focused strategy and claiming you no longer see a path to success via hard work. Isn’t it the opposite now. Many see DEI as just that: an impediment to success-via-hard work.

What does DEI have to do with Microbiology. Most people just want to do their science in peace, and not have to think about this woke bs.
