New Haven has officially broken the Guinness World Record for the world’s largest pizza party. Connecticut’s third-most populated city had eyes on breaking the Guinness World Record, previously set by the Pizza World Champions in Tulsa, Oklahoma, back on Jan. 21, 2023. That party had 3,357 participants. New Haven had hopes of hitting 5,000, and came out on top with a total 4,525 people in attendance. The event – which was held on the New Haven Green on Sept. 12 – was sold out. People came from all over to take part in the celebration.
