A bit late, but hopefully will help in coming seasons. Air Tanker availability (and the Crews to operate them) could have made a huge difference for us here this past devastating fire season.

After two days, he's now at the, "Well, seems to give me good cuddles. Applauds and praises me when I relieve myself outside. Has really good treats when I'm a good boy, but not as many as I'd like.... I think I'll keep my new human," stage of puppyness.

He may be stuck on the idea, but he's been clearly told no. There's no way we willingly offer ourselves to him. The only option he has is to take us by force, and unless he wants to be remembered for starting the new Vietnam/Afghanistan with an ally... He's going to have to accept he can't have us.
