Book 13/25 “Somewhere Beyond the Sea” TJ Klune. I enjoyed the sequel to the Cerulean Sea. I did feel like there was too much Doloris Umbridge inspiration, and the pacing seemed off throughout the book. I did enjoy seeing how the children matured after a year. #booksky

Book 12/25 “Home Is Where the Bodies Are” by Jeneva Rose is a decent thriller. I feel the characters were a tad flat or underdeveloped. It was a good “popcorn” read and enjoyed how the chapters switched POV between the characters. #booksky

Book 11/25 “Finders Keepers” by Stephen King. I am hooked on this Bill Hodges trilogy. I love seeing the personal growth of Holly after escaping her mom. I can’t wait to start the next book. #booksky

Book 10/25 “Sunrise On The Reaping” by Suzanne Collins. I enjoy the Hunger Games series and found the backstory of Haymitch interesting and very sad. Is this as good as the other books? Probably not, but still a must read for any fan. #booksky

Book 9/25 was “The Pairing” by Casey McQuiston. It was just ok. I found the story just dragged on for way too long. Almost in a Ross and Rachel way. It was nice to see the B of LGBTQ represented. #booksky

I chose “Supermarket” by Bobby Hall aka Logic as a my new book 8/25. I worked in a grocery store and I felt like I met all these characters in real life. I think that is why I liked the book and could overlook that it just felt like another take on “Fight Club” #booksky

Update on book 8/25. I was struggling to get into” Masters of Death”. I thought the book had everything I liked, but I couldn’t get through 10 pages without getting angry. Then I read someone say that you shouldn’t be afraid to stop reading a book. So I have done that, I have moved on. #booksky

It has been 2 months since I cancelled my #amazon account. I can honestly say this was a great decision. I am buying less junk and saving money, I am shopping locally, when I do shop online I find that most sites sell the same merch for about the same price, but no free shipping most of the time. ☹️

Book 7 of 25 was “Mr. Mercedes” by @stephenking.bsky.social. I read “Holly” last year and fell in love with the character. I had to read her first appearance. Mercedes ended up being one of my fav King books. I enjoyed seeing the emotional growth of Holly. #booksky

For book 3 of 25 I chose “The House On the Cerulean Sea” by TJ Klune. This book came highly recommended. I wasn’t sure about this book because I’m not usually into magic, but I am so glad I did. What an amazing book for the LGBTQ+ community. I can’t wait to read the next one. #booksky #read

Finished book 2 of 25. I chose “Less” by Andrew Sean Greer. I wanted to give up on the book during the first 100 pages. I found that I didn’t care what happened to the main character. I didn’t like him nor did i hate him. I am glad I stuck with it. The second half was worth it. #booksky #read
