I still believe in the Replacements and the Bill of Rights
If there’s a link to more I’d read it. Or maybe that’s all of it?

Yes, replace the leadership and penalize the 8 because none of this works without caucus unity and it's the only way to demonstrate to your voters that you're on their side

Let's say this is true. Doesn't it have to start with unity among the Democratic caucus? If leadership can't ensure that, replace them and penalize the 8 who negotiated against the majority of the caucus

requiring presidents, cabinet secretaries, and OMB directors to pay civil penalties (no pardons) for restitution if such things happen on their watch, with like a 20 year statute of limitations and causes of action for the suits

The guardrails are critical. No one should ever vote on an appropriations bill ever again unless it does everything it can to require funds be spent, prevent unappropriated funds from being spent, and prevent OMB from moving funds from one account to another. Consider creative ideas like /

Josh, you don't own sunglasses? Seriously, congrats. You were always one of the people to articulate what I was thinking but hadn't put into words.

I’ve long thought the 2000 recount era is a Rosetta Stone for understanding American politics in this century. If you understand how Gore and allied interests made decisions and Bush-aligned interests behaved you understand everything. It’s no coincidence 3 Bush v Gore lawyers are on SCOTUS
