Single payer healthcare seems like a reasonable, sustainable, freedom enhancing (not tethered to your employer) solution to a universal need for a functioning, growing society that has basic belief in a better future for humanity. It'd prolly help, anway.
I thought this already proved the point that reality can't live up to memory.

"Rocky" is one way of putting it.

Another is that 12 years on, this Ai company has burned through cash and produced no drugs (the point of the exercise) and, if you read the article, is simply installing a new leader making the same pie on the sky promises that just up ahead it'll all be great.

Can I claim self defense, or some other form of justifiable homicide, if I beat this guy to death with this book? Asking for a friend.

This is an anti-Catholic cartoon from 1943.

Andrew Cuomo's dad, Mario Cuomo, was 11 years old when this cartoon came out.

Andrew Cuomo is a practicing Catholic and has made multiple insinuations that his opponent's religion is cause for fear.

Are doctors hating this thing or what?*

*metal brushes can get ingested and cause huge problems. I don't see how an unattended, automatic machine is better than the problematic manual brushes where there's at least a chance the operator will notice a loose bit of wire and likely fewer brush strokes

I saw Halloween III at a friend's house and really liked it.

Should I watch the others?

Trump: we're building a big beautiful ballroom and we won't touch any existing part of the White House

Trump: the East Wing of the White House isn't really part of the White House

See, Trump is just a lying sack of shit.

Many have tried. It's cold and echoes like mad and the theater downtown is better.

I'd love to go back to just after 9/11 and try to explain this skeet to my younger self, including what a "skeet" is:

I tried a rewatch and my only takeaway is don't do a rewatch. Nicely filmed, but the writing doesn't hold up.

Middle-aged men today: Damn kids these days with their headphones and tablets and Bluetooth speakers and phones, wearing skinny jeans and showing off their bodies and doing up their hair like they were girls. Back in my day ...

Back in their day:

?? MTV has been the Ridiculousness channel for years now.

V66 shuttering and turning into the Home Shopping Network and seeing those poor VJs promoting like toasters and shit while they looked for jobs, that was tough.

Megyn. Girl. That sounds like Hitler complaing about art school and instead of recognizing his own shortcomings as an artist, he just called it all degenerate.
