It's unfair that, say, Denmark, gets to team up with a bunch of other not-you countries when you could take them on by yourself. They should know their place and it's unmanly to have friends when you could have underlings.

It's not a blistering insight but it's dawned on me that this is the problem they have with allies and treaties and internationism - the fact that keeping allies requires you to act in non-sociopathic bullying ways. Much better to just do what you want and screw anyone that doesn't fall in line.
