Okay, putting this out into the universe. I need short story recommendations. A bunch of 'em. Sci Fi and Fantasy. Hopefully less commonly read ones, but good ones. Go?

So, I'm about halfway through the game Prey from 2017. My opinion? It's incredibly sad that this game didn't sell all that well. Great writing, fun gameplay, and I really love how it rewards you for being smart and thorough. Plus, I'm a sucker for an unreliable narrator.

Just finished up re-reading The Builders by Daniel Polansky. Great novella. A lot more descriptive in its violence than I remembered. Think watership down if it were a "getting the gang back together to go kill a king" story. #recommended 4/5.

I'm not going to post about football or MMA much, but here's what I'll say about the #ChicagoBears.

I'm a lifelong 🐻 fan and it's a sad state of affairs that I'm on the fence about watching today's game. The decades of incompetent leadership choices has made the 🐻 the laughingstock of the #nfl

I'm super late to the party, but for date night I played Curse of the Golden Idol with my wife. Great game, interesting and fast enough to finish in an evening. Can't wait to jump into the sequel in a future date night.

I said it in reply to someone today, but "Don't make perfect the enemy of great" is something I try to remember daily in life. You will accomplish so much more, contribute so much more, and just be happier if you don't waste your time anguishing over every miniscule detail that was already great.

Anyone else here start a family and career and suddenly can't play roleplaying games anymore? Think Persona, not Baldur's Gate 3. I don't know what happened. In highschool that's basically all I played, and now I find myself just....yeah, it's just not for me anymore. Did I grow out of turn based?

Hi! I'm Bryce. I don't really fit in a curated list on here, unless it's "overweight 40 year old white men who like nerd stuff and occasionally talk about what they're reading/playing/watching." If that's a list, then add me ASAP I guess.
