My library has saved me over $350 this year alone and over $18,500 in my lifetime!!

My brother has new music out and if you need a lift from, you know…all this and everything, you should give him a listen!

This is my stethoscope. I had a mom say, “I’m glad you still wear that. Even now. I thought you might have taken it off because, you know.” She trailed off and we both looked at each other sadly. “No,” I said, “still wearing it.” She smiled & whispered, “thank you.”

So. This is my stethoscope. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🩺

Jan: Mid-Air is astonishing- so much emotion in so few words. This book is going to start your year off with a sense of appreciation for how strong kids can be, in spite of all they go through- pain, hope, reconciliation- it’s all here and it’s lyrical and beautiful and you should read it today

That’s a wrap on Hanukkah and 2024. We read our cards from the year by candlelight. The new year envelope is my favorite family tradition

Wishing you all the strength and kindness you need in the year to come

It’s a privilege and a pleasure to round on Christmas. Doubly sweet when it’s the first night of Hanukkah. Merry/Happy to everyone!

The school theme today is glitter and bling, but we didn’t have any. Nothing a little gold washi tape and sparkly pipe cleaners can’t fix! We even made a firework pocket square!

Why, is it holiday attire and potluck day? Yes. Yes it is. Shout out to my one patient who said “those are weird antlers” 😂

Today!!! @authorlisafipps.bsky.social it’s today!! After three years of course development, 180 medical students are learning about weight bias in medicine through this book. I am so excited and so proud to bring #kidlit to medical school!

Our 6th grader’s art project was to make a chia pet. I think he understood the assignment 🙂🐦❤️ Now, if only this thing would stop asking to drive the bus!

Dec: A Wish in the Dark is a work of art- a fantastical retelling of Les Miserables set in a Thai inspired landscape. In this particular holiday season, I cannot think of a better story than one about a child who banishes darkness with justice and fills his city with hope. Read along with us!

Capping off Wegmans Wednesday with a little nail art 🙂🦃💅. My 11 year old asked if I could do a turkey on each thumb and selected my other nail colors as feathers. We love it! Now, just to name them…any suggestions?

Tonight my seven year old and I deconstructed some pomegranates and danced to the Bring It On Broadway album. All in all, a very good night
