This paper shows the importance of including tissue-resident and circulating #immune cells, as well as #stromal cells, in lung #organoid chips to obtain a more realistic human in vitro model system for studying viral respiratory infections.

The model leveraged Reactome pathways in combination with large language models (LLMs) to provide a mechanistic foundation. It demonstrated strong performance and was applied to predict patient drug responses, with predictions supported by experimental validation.
