Crispy Kreme is healing fast after suffering burns on Sunday—just look at those paws! Assisi Loop therapy and meds are already making a big difference.

These loops really help, but they have limited treatments. We're running low and could use more:

As the nights grow warmer, our skies grow busier. This spring, we’ve released 43 bats—each one a natural ally in controlling insect populations, from fields to forests to your own backyard. Bats are great to have around. 🦇🦟🐛🪲🦇

The only survivor of a brush fire that claimed his siblings, Crispy Kreme came to us with badly burned paws and singed whiskers. Please, always check before you burn. Brush piles make tempting shelter for animals—just a few minutes can prevent tragedies. 🍩🐀

We just rescued Tiptoe a few hours ago. This little fawn was found dehydrated, unable to stand, with very swollen joints all alone. Tomorrow, Tiptoe will see our wildlife vet, but for now, there is comfort being provided by a heartbeat toy. 🦌

Fuzzy was arguably our first patient of 2025— a tiny gray tree frog. Now, the tree frogs are calling, and Fuzzy is ready to answer! Fuzzy made one last stop to check out a blooming bluebell, then hopped confidently up the tree, back in the wild! #frog

Meet Gaia, a hoary bat rescued today on this beautiful Earth Day. She was found grounded in a lawnside ditch, too emaciated to continue her migration. Now safe in care, we’re hopeful she’ll recover and return to the night skies where she belongs.

This opossum family came in after being orphaned in a dog attack-these joeys are very unique! There is one “normal” colored baby, and the other 5 are white! Most likely, this is "leucism," which is a color mutation. We’ll know more once they grow! Check out the pouch on this girl.🩷

Stormy is our newest bat intake. You may notice she is more "frosted" in color than Berty, the male eastern red bat pictured. This species has sexual dimorphism. Male eastern red bats are brighter in color and the females have a more frosted appearance. Both will be released very soon! #bat

🦫Please welcome Justin Beaver! Found spinning in a parking lot last night — possibly choreographing a new TikTok dance or, more likely, suffering from head trauma or illness. One of our awesome veterinary nurses, Jamie, spotted Justin and saved the day.

This is Sam. He’s a big brown bat… who’s orange.🧡

After a bad storm, Sam was discovered low on a fence. When he stayed put for a few days, the homeowners reached out to see if he needed help.🦇

Sam is now with us for treatment for a wing injury, & we can’t stop admiring that fiery coat. 🔥 #bat

🦇Meet Berty the eastern red bat! He was found lying upside down in mulch, seen for two weeks outside of a busy building but never helped—until a kind woman noticed him, bringing him to us on my birthday!

Berty is recovering, snuggled up against a plush tree dog toy (yes, really!).

We tried to use a banana for scale to show how tiny Roxy is (just over 1 lb!), but she had other plans. Listen closely for her battle cries—this banana never stood a chance! 😂 Harriet the muskrat also enjoyed a banana.

🦊Roxy is feeling better every day with round-the-clock vet care, and she’s got one thing on her mind—FOOD! She no longer solely relies on syringe feeding and can eat on her own. She’s starting to have energy to play, explore, and cause a little trouble. 😂

This tiny fox kit, Roxy, was found barely clinging to life. Two brave young boys saw her crawling weakly from a den—starving, dehydrated, and suffering from eye infections. When they checked inside the den, heartbreakingly, all of her siblings had passed. Their mother was nowhere to be found. 💔 #fox

Remember Nutmeg, the little cinnamon raccoon that was live-trapped in someone’s attic last week? Well we’ve gotten another from the same attic, so Nutmeg was recently reunited. Meet Peppercorn! They immediately ran to each other and snuggled. #wildlife #wildliferehab #raccoon

We ordered a pizza… and got squirrels instead! 🍕🐿️ Caesar & Domino, two squirrel babies, were found after a tree trimming and arrived in a pizza box. Now, these girls need round-the-clock care, and we need your help.

Did you know gray tree frogs change color? I just took the photo of Fuzzy on the rock tonight! He was green this afternoon. He can only change between gray and green. They can camouflage themselves this way and change colors based on temperatures or time. He is only about 1/2 inch! #frog
