Dr Chiara Pittalis is PI of a new research project focused on the impact of climate change on water access & maternal health in rural Guatemala.

Funded by Irish Aid, the project will support policy & health system improvements in Guatemala & offer valuable insights for other countries.

Yesterday, Prof. Agnes Binagwaho became the third recipient of the Cameron Award for Population Health at @rcsi.bsky.social. A Rwandan paediatrician, Prof. Binagwaho returned home in 1996 following the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi & played a pivotal role in rebuilding the country’s health system.

A world café event exploring the rehabilitation needs of people with brain tumours in Ireland took place at @rcsi.bsky.social as part of Brain Tumour Awareness Week. 700+ people are diagnosed with a primary brain tumour per year in Ireland.

Many women w/ epilepsy navigate complex decisions regarding their reproductive health. The internet can provide educational resources for women w/ epilepsy during these stages. Research led by Dr Aisling Walsh & Dr Jade Parnell reviewed the type & quality of these resources.
