My thermostat isn't functioning properly, I can't see the temp in my apartment, nor what it is set on. It's cooler outside and maybe even time to turn on the heat, but I refuse to do so without being able to see the temp cuz I cannot afford a high ass had bill. Maintenance hasn't come to rectify it.

Crockpot chicken with rice and green beans. It costs me ~$10 to make. $2 for a pound of green beans at the farmer's market, $4 for 2 packs of lollipop drumsticks from my local grocery store's clearance aisle. And 2 cans of soup at ~$1.50 a can.

I went to the grocery store today and visited the clearance aisle. I found 4 packs of party wings for $3/pack and 2 packs of lollipop drumsticks for $2/pack. My grocery bill today was $31.88. Spending a total of about $50 for the week on groceries. Haven't had a grocery bill that low since 2020.

I'm a grad student and naturally, I've involved myself in student leadership roles. Yesterday, I had the opportunity to speak to incoming graduate students and reflect on my experience. Today, I was on a panel with other graduate students answering questions about what life is like @ WashU.
