Exactly! We need the support and the understanding to make it through life.
Autism isn’t something to be “cured” or “treated.” It is for this reason that autistics need full support throughout their life - support that is free of encumbersome allistic expectations.

I hate it when people say "we rarely had people with autism at during the xx's". Yes, you dumbfucks. there was less people with it because no one was diagnosing it right. we have a better scope of how to diagnose these things now, compared to 40-50 or 60 years ago.

It pisses me off when people with autism lose their job through no fault of their own and at the whim of a man who has a history of making impulsive decisions.
Bobby Whalen is a man with autism who had a job sterilizing surgical instruments at NIH. He was apparently quite good at it, but he just lost his job because of Musk’s hatchet job. www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/f...
