🌧️💨 Rain and wind ruled the day on Remembrance Day across the island and SE Labrador, with gusts still going strong into this morning for some areas. A few lingering showers remain, but precipitation has eased for the most part. #nlwx

Post-Tropical Storm #Melissa racing far out to sea this morning. NE Avalon saw brief but intense rainfall last night with rates of 10 to 20 mm per hour, putting totals in the 30 to 50 mm range.

Rainfall totals tell the story: a soggy a couple of days for eastern parts of the island with some much-needed rain, while central areas saw much less. The west virtually sat this one out. ☔ #nlwx

As we close out September, the 20+°C day count for St. John's #YYT in 2025 sits at 81 days.
In 9 of the past 14 yrs, October added ≥1 more day, so will have to wait & see where the tally finishes. Of course, the old record of 79 days (2012 & 2022) is topped either way. Data since 1942.
