All of us who in one way or another were touched and inspired by the teachings of Father Gustavo Gutierrez feel a bit orphaned today. That does not take away our responsibility to continue the conversation that he and other pioneers began several decades ago. May he rest in peace.

Grateful for this meaningful day in Toronto, Canada, attending the North American Academy of Ecumenists’ 2024 Annual Conference on the theme “Memory, Truth, and Reconciliation.” It was privilege to be on a panel with the Rev. Dr. Angelique Walker-Smith and to spend time with Bishop Riscylla Shaw.
