What are your top ever explainer graphic novels? Meaning ones whose main purpose is to explain some concept about science, history, philosophy, etc.

Not allowed: memoir/biography
Not allowed: Logicomix, because you're all going to say it because it's great

I've said before that I'm confused why Sherri Tepper isn't considered a much bigger name in the field (actually I'm not confused, she was writing mostly when SF/F was majority "white dude"-focused), and if I was a film/tv producer looking for "the next Dune," I would snap up Grass instantly.
You’re the first person I’ve seen on social media that praises Tepper!
My life was changed by her books!

My regular suggestion: At the end of the semester why not reach out to someone whose work you taught and let them know? These days we have very little idea who teaches our stuff and in what contexts. It takes almost no time and can really make their day.

A great remembrance of Rafael Nadal’s tennis career. “Nadal was the destroyer of context, the man who played every point in vacuum, through comebacks and blowouts with the same equanimous mind and full effort.” [defector.com]

Did you know The Bell Jar, The Handmaid's Tale, The Feminine Mystique, and more all appeared on Sesame Street in the 90s?
