I spoke to my therapist today about the anxiety and fear I feel leading up to January. How fearful I am that I won't be able to do anything about injury to marginalized communities. He reminded me that there will come a point when I know I need to act, and that was a strangely calming sentiment.

Watching the news cycle around Hunter Biden is just shameful in the context of comparison. The double standard applied to the left is mind boggling. I can see the privileges at work here, but no one is anywhere close to as outraged about Trump doing ANYTHING.

What is it I am missing for accountability measures? We have watched the festering of a blatantly corrupt SCOTUS (which was thoroughly protested), and now objectively questionable cabinet picks. I keep hearing #resist but HOW? And WHO, and WHEN?

Forced myself to go back to church last week. The guest pastor there compared this period of time to having seen the trailer for "The Empire Strikes Back" as a kid. I think what's so deeply upsetting to me is watching the "faithful" align themselves to the empty promises of empire.
