Any future funding must be explicitly conditioned on:

Compliance with federal law and local ordinances.

A ban on tear gas and chemical agents against civilians, especially children

Independent oversight and reporting.

No compliance, no money.

There are millions and millions of people who aren’t lazy or bad people who just want to have a decent life and will forever or for a long time struggle to get by, my personal preference is to not punish them and their children for it and then accuse them of not wanting it badly enough
