These red bands weren’t standard and painted on by hand just days or hours before the invasion. In this regard they similar to D-Day invasion stripes seen on Allied aircraft in June 1944.

To visually differentiate the Soviets own equipment from the Czechoslovak equipment, the Soviets painted red bands on their aircraft and white stripes on their tanks, to prevent fratricide.

At first I wanted to do removable panels, iydk the bronco kit has an engine with plumbing and coolers, but the way they did the top engine panels and machine guns im afraid that making the panels removable would be hard to do. So I’m probably gonna make the side panels removable if possible
