Operation “Danube” in August 1968. When Czechoslovakia decided communism wasn’t for them, called Prague Spring, the USSR had to kinetically convince them that communism was the way.

Black, white bands and red tail has been added to the A5M. Was a pain in the ass to mask but I’m quite happy with the result

A5M engine. MRP 128 Silver, Vallejo Chipping medium thinned with AK 3rd gen acrylic thinner, MRP-016 top coat.

Chipped using toothpick and occasionally wetting the surface with a brush.

The major fuselage parts are assembled, filled and surfaced. I’ll have to figure out how I should do the engine assembly, I have a propaganda ad/poster from 1942 talking about the Flying Tigers P-40’s, and their Allison engines. [1/?]

Just completed the cockpit for Bronco’s 1/48 Hawk 81A2 / P-40B/C

It’s their AVG boxing, so I’m gonna do it as R. T. Smith’s P-40 from the Flying Tigers
